Components and Accessories for Mist Systems
Pipes, fittings, filters, valves, and control devices are used to install, maintain, or repair a misting system. Component selection should begin with the system layout and its operating conditions, as connections that appear similar may differ in dimensions, threads, and maximum working pressure.
To replace a part, identify its part number and verify the parameters of the existing installation. In a new system, the pump, piping, and mist nozzles must be selected first, followed by the fittings and control devices. On DOMIS, you can look up the part numbers of components compatible with your configuration.
Compatibility Parameters
- The working pressure of each component must be compatible with the system’s operating conditions. Matching connection dimensions does not replace verification of the allowable pressure.
- Check the outer and inner diameters of the pipe, the thread type and standard, and the material of the seals.
- Select the filtration system based on the requirements of the pump and nozzles, taking maintenance conditions into account.
- For automation devices, check the supply voltage, signal type, permissible electrical load, and installation conditions.
Frequently Asked Questions Before Choosing
Does a 1/4-inch connection guarantee compatibility?
Not always. This measurement may refer to the thread size or the pipe diameter. It is necessary to compare the connection drawings, the thread standard, and the operating parameters.
Can irrigation fittings be used in a high-pressure misting system?
Only if the manufacturer confirms that the components meet the system’s pressure and operating requirements. You should not determine a fitting’s maximum pressure rating based solely on its appearance or whether its diameter matches.
Before making your purchase, prepare the installation diagram, the operating pressure, and the part numbers of the components you need to replace.
