The use of metals with a high heat transfer coefficient (copper and anodized aluminum) in the heat exchanger allows the warm skirting board to be used effectively even in low-temperature heating systems, such as when connected to a heat pump. The front and top of the housing are made of impact-resistant aluminum profile, providing high, even heat output along the entire length of the heating system.

The Domis water-heated warm skirting board consists of a heat exchanger and an aluminum housing. The skirting board's heat exchanger is made of copper tubes, on which an aluminum tape with fins is fixed by drawing. This tape forms a single serpentine in the standard version (Standard model) and a double one with increased power (Power model). The uniqueness of the Domis design is that during the heating/cooling cycle, the so-called linear expansion of the metal of the heating part, the system does not produce clicks or other extraneous sounds, which sometimes occurs in products of other manufacturers.

The Domis water-heated skirting board heating system has shown the ability to save up to 30% on energy compared to "convection" heating systems, due to the even distribution of heat and the ability to maintain a more comfortable temperature throughout the room. Such a system quickly creates a thermal curtain along the entire perimeter of the room and height of the walls, and the warm floor and warm walls then transfer heat to the heated space. During system operation, the warm skirting board transfers about 80% of the heat to the surrounding space by thermal radiation, which helps reduce the amount of dust in the air we breathe.
