Haier's patented Self-clean technology is designed to minimize the hassle of maintaining and cleaning the air conditioner. The essence of Self-Clean is that the air conditioner freezes a small layer of frost on the heat exchanger surfaces, and after that it switches on the defrosting mode, as a result of which the liquid is pushed out together with dirt, cleaning the heat exchanger.
