Vents VUT 1000 PV EC is an air handling unit with heat recovery and a water heater. Used in supply and exhaust ventilation systems for residential or commercial premises. The installation heater requires a hot water supply from the boiler. The nominal capacity of the installation is 1000 m3/h.
The installation uses EC motors with high efficiency, which made it possible to achieve high productivity and pressure with low noise and consumption levels. The unit is used with an air duct system with a root section of 250 mm or with rectangular air ducts with the same cross-sectional area.
House
The body is made of aluminum-zinc with internal heat and sound insulation made of mineral wool with a thickness of 20 mm (in VUT PV 350, 600, 1000 units) and 50 mm (in VUT PV 2000, 3000 units).
Filter
For filtering the supply air and exhaust air, the unit has two built-in filters with a cleaning degree of G4 (exhaust) and F7 (supply).
Motor
Highly efficient electronically commutated (EC) DC motors are used with an external rotor, equipped with an impeller with backward-curved blades. Such motors are by far the most advanced solution in the field of energy saving. EC motors are characterized by high performance and optimal control over the entire speed range. The undoubted advantage of an electronically commutated motor is its high efficiency (up to 90%).
Recuperator
Vents VUT 1000 PV EC units have a cross-current recuperator made of polystyrene. Under the recuperator block there is a tray for collecting and discharging condensate.
Heater
To operate the supply and exhaust unit at low outside temperatures, a water heater is installed (for VUT PV units). If using heat recovery it is not possible to achieve the set value of the supply air temperature, the heater is automatically turned on and heats the air entering the room.
Automatic
The unit is equipped with a built-in automation system and a multifunctional wired remote control control with graphic indicator. The standard installation kit includes a 10 m long wire for connecting to the remote control. To prevent the recuperator from freezing, electronic anti-freeze protection is used using a bypass and a heater. Its essence is that, based on the temperature sensor, the bypass damper opens and the supply air passes past the recuperator through the bypass channel.
During the defrosting period of the recuperator, the supply air is heated to the required temperature in the heater. During defrosting, warm exhaust air warms up the recuperator. Then the damper closes the bypass, the heater turns off, the supply air again passes through the recuperator and the entire installation operates as usual.
Control and protection functions of VUT PE (EC)

The following functions are available in the installation automation system:
- turn on/off the installation,
- control of the supply air temperature by influencing the drive of a three-way valve that regulates the supply of coolant to the liquid heater,
- protection of the liquid heater from freezing (using the air temperature sensor after the heater and the return coolant temperature sensor,
- control of the electric drive of the recuperator bypass valve,
- control and monitoring of the operation of the external circulation pump installed on the coolant supply line to the liquid heater,
- protection of the recuperator from icing,
- control and monitoring of the operation of supply and exhaust fans,
- monitoring of filter contamination (by the number of operating hours),
- control of electric drives of external air valves (supply and exhaust) .
The air handling unit is equipped with a remote control panel, which provides:
- turning on/off the ventilation unit,
- setting the required flow rate air,
- setting the required supply air temperature,
- displaying room temperature,
- displaying a fault (emergency situation).
Installation
The air handling unit is mounted on the floor, suspended from the ceiling using a mounting bracket with a vibration insert, or mounted on the wall using brackets. The installation can be placed both in auxiliary rooms and in the main ones (behind a suspended ceiling, in a niche or in an open way). It can only be installed in such a position as to ensure collection and drainage of condensate. Access for service and filter cleaning: for sizes 350, 600 and 1000 - from the right or left side panel, for sizes 2000 and 3000 - access from below.
