The mixing unit for ventilation Vents USVK-1 1/4-10 is designed to ensure circulation and control the temperature of water (water mixtures) used as a coolant in heat exchangers of ventilation systems. The maximum productivity of this unit is6.8 m3/h.

Design and description of operation

The design of the USWK is shown in Figure 1. Circulation pump 1 provides a continuous water flow of the required volume, while the temperature of the water entering the heat exchanger is regulated by mixing in a circulation ring of water coming from the network with return water coming from the heat exchanger. The amount of return water directed through jumper 4 is regulated by three-way valve 3 with electric drive 2, the control voltage of which is determined by the set temperature of the supply air leaving the heat exchanger.

'Design

Installation and maintenance

Connection is carried out by specialists authorized to perform such work. It is prohibited to operate the USVK outside the temperature range, as well as in rooms with aggressive impurities in the air and in an explosive environment. Before connecting the USVK to the network, you must ensure that there are no visible damages. When installing the water mixing unit, comply with the following conditions:

  • be sure to ensure a horizontal position of the motor shaft axis,
  • exclude the possibility of transferring mechanical loads to the water treatment unit from the connected pipelines,
  • exclude the possibility of accidental contact with the moving parts of the USVK supply wires.

Connection to the water main

The supply (discharge) of water to the USVK is carried out by direct connection to a stationary water main, or flexible metal-rubber hoses through a threaded connection with inlet and outlet pipes. The connection to the main line must be carried out in such a way as to exclude any loads leading to mechanical damage and violation of the tightness of the USVK. The pipelines should be connected in such a way that they can be quickly disconnected during repair work.

Electrical connection

All electrical connections must be carried out by persons with the necessary qualifications and approval. Before connecting, install protective grounding of the circulation pump. Do not allow the power cable to come into contact with the pipeline or pump.

Operating conditions

Permissible operating conditions of mixing units are determined by the set of elements included in its composition and are characterized by the following values:

  • ambient temperature, ° C ...........5-40
  • maximum pressure in the control channel, bar..........10

The pump motor bearings are lubricated by the pumped liquid. Single-phase pumps do not require additional overload protection. For three-phase pumps, external overload protection must be provided.
