The use of fog generation systems in greenhouses and greenhouses

The use of misting systems in greenhouses and greenhouses

          To obtain a high yield in a greenhouse, each type of crop needs to provide optimal conditions for development. In many ways, they depend on the temperature and humidity regime in the greenhouse.

Greenhouse plants may need additional moisture at any time of the year, depending on the region and the need for moisture, heat for a particular crop. The summer temperature in greenhouses rises to a critical level, despite ventilation, because the street air reaches high temperatures. In winter, frosts reduce the relative humidity of the air outside, and inside the greenhouse – due to the use of heating devices.

Greenhouse productivity depends on many factors: temperature, humidity, sunlight, air quality, carbon dioxide concentration, moisture content and soil conditions. Systems for creating fog cannot affect all these parameters, but have a positive effect on productivity by adjusting the temperature, humidity and moisture content in the greenhouse. By maintaining such parameters at optimal levels, they create the best conditions for vegetation.

Fog generation systems are ideal for solving problems associated with high temperatures or low humidity levels. These systems can be used to humidify greenhouses and greenhouses all year round. With a properly designed air flow system and due to the property of "instantaneous evaporation" of fog, the system can guarantee effective cooling and humidification in summer. At the same time, this system prevents dehydration of plants in winter. This ensures efficient and consistent control of the microclimate without excessive condensation of moisture.

The misting system for greenhouses solves a number of tasks:

·       Maintains the set humidity level;

·      Reduces the need for moisture;

·      Accelerates plant growth;

·      Maintains favorable conditions all year round;

·      Creates an internal reserve for vegetation plants;

·      Reduces the need for shading;

·      Reduces water consumption;

·      Increases the overall productivity of the greenhouse.

Plants lose most of their moisture through evaporation from the leaves. Through the leaves, they collect most of the carbon needed for growth in the form of carbon dioxide. By controlling the opening and closing of plant pores (using climate control), stronger and healthier plants can be grown. There is no better and more effective control method than a properly designed system for creating fog.

In industrial and farm greenhouses and large greenhouses, it is recommended to install medium and high pressure fog generation systems. They have a number of advantages over low-pressure fog systems, which are more suitable for owners of small greenhouses and greenhouses.

Fog formation in aeroponics

Today, everyone is actively beginning to use a new method of growing crops, which is called aeroponics. This method involves growing plants not on the ground, and the canopy – in the air. All the necessary trace elements and useful substances arrive at the roots in the form of an aerosol.

 When using the aeroponic method, plants are usually suspended in the air in a closed or semi-closed space. On their open roots, a special solution is sprayed, which includes all the necessary trace elements and useful substances.This is done with a certain frequency and dosage. A more modern solution is the nutrition of the roots due to their location in a fog saturated with useful elements.

It is possible to produce water aerosol for aeroponic systems with the help of fog-forming installations. This equipment will nourish the roots with moisture with the necessary frequency. The upper part of the plants (leaves, stems) are placed on racks, while the roots are in an enclosed space.A special spray directed towards the roots is connected to the pump unit. The solution is pumped from the storage tank.Feeding of roots is carried out automatically with a certain periodicity. Seedlings are fed every 5-10 minutes, and already adult specimens are fed after about 20 minutes.

If the solution does not arrive in a timely manner, it will negatively affect any variety of plants. The mist is a finely dispersed solution particles with nutrients. It surrounds the roots and nourishes the plants with the necessary trace elements. At the moment of termination of feeding, the root system is saturated with oxygen, which is possible due to its being in the open air.

The system of fog formation for greenhouses has a number of advantages and features:

1.      special pumps-dispensers, for the introduction of chemicals or the fight against insects.

2.      Each liter of evaporated water absorbs up to 2500 kJ of heat.

3.      Compared with other climate control methods, water mist generation systems are much cheaper to use.

4.      Simple and quick installation, modules assembled on the principle of "DIY", convenient connections.

5.      Possibility of spraying with fertilizers, insecticides.

6.      Provides optimal operation control, thanks to devices such as thermo-hydrostats and remote control timers

The complete set of the high-pressure misting system includes:

  • A pump capable of delivering from 25 to 75 bar (high pressure pump);
  • High pressure hose system (100 bar);
  • Fine-dispersed nozzles (from 0.15 to 1);
  • Fittings;
  • Water filters on the supply water supply;
  • The control unit of the fog generation system;
  • High pressure ball valves;
  • Drainage valve – prevents stagnation of water;
  • Fastening clamps, etc. accessories according to the project.

Fog systems maintain the temperature and humidity in the greenhouse at the level necessary for plants, and thus comfortable conditions are created for the development and growth of various types of crops.

Installation of evaporative cooling and waterlogging systems is an urgent solution to the issue of maintaining the temperature and humidity regime in the greenhouse.

To achieve the best results, it is important to professionally perform installation work, so that complete evaporation of moisture is ensured and the maximum effect of the cooling system is achieved. Fog-forming systems will create a unique microclimate in any place you need.
