Features of the wired engine
Motors with wired technology are designed to be controlled by a switch (unlike radio motors that operate via a wireless remote control control point). Their affordable prices allow everyone to enjoy the comfort of automatic blinds. Another advantage is that a wired motor can be connected to any switch of any brand (it should just be a model designed for automation, i.e. having the functions of lifting, lowering and stopping). Without any restrictions, you retain control over the aesthetic appearance of the control point and/or you can leave it in place when replacing the engine.

Choose the right power
The engine power must be selected in accordance with the weight of the blinds - the weight is calculated after reading the dimensions of the height and width of the visible apron of the slats.
Apron weight estimation
width* x height* x (weight per m2 **)

** estimated weight of the bar: PVC (4 kg/m2), aluminum (4.5 kg/m2), wood (11 kg/m2)
For example, a set of aluminum slats has dimensions of 1.2 x 1.5 m :
1.2 x 1.5 x 4.5 = 8.1 kg.You must choose an engine that matches the power capable of lifting at least 8.1 kg.Here is 10 Nm.
It is believed that 1 Nm supports 2 kg. Refer to the most suitable capacity.
Our advice: If the adaptation of a motor more powerful than necessary is not harmful, then on the contrary it can lead to irreversible failure, which is not guaranteed - Be sure to follow the recommendations to save the life of your motor.
An ideal replacement for Somfy engines
The peculiarity of this wired motor is that it is compatible with all Somfy supports for Ø50 mm motors (sold separately). If you originally had an engine of this brand, you can absolutely choose it and save the Somfy engine supports for ultra-fast replacement at no additional cost. Adaptations, however, will have to choose from branded AvosDim. Let us make your life easier!
