Choose the right power

The engine power must be selected according to the weight of the blinds - the weight is calculated after reading the dimensions of the height and width of the visible apron of the slats.

Apron weight estimation

For example, a set of aluminum slats has dimensions of 1.2 x 2.5 m :
1.2 x 2.5 x 4.5 = 13.5 kg.You must choose an engine that matches the power capable of lifting at least 13.5 kg.Here is 10 Nm.

It is believed that 1 Nm supports 2 kg. Refer to the most suitable capacity.

Our advice: If the adaptation of a motor more powerful than necessary is not harmful, then on the contrary it can lead to irreversible failure, which is not guaranteed - Be sure to follow the recommendations to save the life of your motor.

Choose suitable fixtures

Your chosen set of devices will consist of a wheel and a crown . One allows the motor to control the axis during rotation, and the other counts the number of revolutions to mark a stop at the right place (stops).

The choice of devices should be made depending on the brand of the engine, its diameter and the shaft model. If it's a similar engine replacement, you don't need to purchase them. Otherwise they are necessary.

The devices we offer, among other things, are compatible with octagonal axes with a diameter of 60 mm, as well as with ZF brand axes of 54 and 64 mm, which can be recognized, in particular, by their star-shaped shape.

Choose suitable engine supports

Engine supports are also important . Attached to one of the side walls of the shutter casing (the one on the engine side), they serve to securely fix the motor/shaft/casing assembly.

Our choice takes into account compatibility with the selected engine head. It remains only to determine the type of roller shutter box and its dimensions in order to get a suitable part.
