Differences between aluminum and PVC blinds

All-aluminum roller shutters provide optimal sound insulation and increased safety of the useful part. From an aesthetic point of view, the choice of colors is extensive, and the shade is effectively resistant to UV radiation and bad weather.

PVC slats have a high thermal insulation ability, while the material has an affordable cost. The material is sensitive to ultraviolet and bad weather, color fastness in time is limited, especially white.

Openwork lamellas for good ventilation

PergolasVIP offers 2 types of louvered slats, with or without "light" between the slats. The lamps are ordinary openings/gaps that allow you to ventilate with the shutters down or darken without darkening the room. The last bar

Guide rails for guide rails

It is the aluminum side rails that allow the apron to slide perfectly horizontally. These guides have brush seals that provide sealing and reduce the noise of the shutter flaps when used. Additional, available in several models and colors, AvosDim blinds guides allow you to repair blinds at a reasonable price.

Before confirming the order, be sure to choose a model identical to yours.

A pair of guides will be 90 mm less than the final height of the apron, a length that you can cut off during installation.

Tulips inserted into the upper ends of the guides are not included in the delivery package, do not forget to order them if necessary.

If you are replacing your slides with ours, we need to get the full width of the apron between the new lower parts of the slides. Knowing which dimension to report in this case is very simple:

You choose one of 2 Renovation slides: measure the width between the paintings, from wall to wall, always in 3 different places. Take the lowest one and subtract 62 mm. The total working clearance of 8 mm is included in 62 mm.
You choose the Traditional Guide: measure the width between the paintings, from wall to wall, always in 3 different places. Take the lowest one and subtract 25 mm. The total working clearance of 8 mm is included in 25 mm.

For example, if you measured the width between the walls of 1200 mm, then you need to order an apron with a width of 1138 mm, if you choose guides for reconstruction, and 1174 mm for traditional guides.

How to take measurements to replace the shutter lobes

The apron for the shift is still in place:

By opening the trunk of the sash, you can easily measure the overall width of the lamella. If the apron has plugs at the ends of certain slats, they are taken into account when calculating. And by height, we measure the height of the fully closed apron visible from the outside and add 200mm to it to take into account what is left in the trunk in the folded form. Any extra blade can be easily removed.

Just measure the height and width of the apron on the ground with the blades stretched, with any tips.
