Features
Bertolini valves are designed to ensure maximum efficiency in plant protection and to ensure a long service life of the pump. When the system is turned on, it works as a pressure limiting valve, sending an excessive amount of water to the bypass in accordance with the calibrated pressure of the valve.
When the water flow in the system drops, and therefore the pressure increases, for example, when the main line is clogged, the valve opens completely draining all the contents of the pump.
Bertolini valves are designed in such a way that under these conditions only the part of the system located between the valve and the main is pressurized, while water recirculation is carried out at very low pressure (less than 5 bar).
In this way, the power consumption is minimized and the recycled water is heated slowly, which gives a significant advantage regarding the service life of the pump and seals.
The maximum operating time in bypass mode should not exceed 5 minutes, otherwise it will lead to rapid wear of the gaskets.
